Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) Regional Coordinator Application Information

What is Healthy Northland?
Healthy Northland is the brand representing community health promotion and disease prevention strategies implemented in collaboration between Aitkin-Itasca-Koochiching Community Health Board (AIK CHB) and Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis Community Health Board (CCLS CHB) Who is the employer for this position? The Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis CHB is the employer for the SHIP Regional Coordinator position, with Louise Anderson, Director, as the coordinator’s supervisor.
How is this position funded?
The SHIP Regional Coordinator is funded through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), with current funding authorized through October 31, 2019, and potential of continuation based on legislative authorization for additional funding.
Where will the Regional SHIP Coordinator be located?
Based upon the home location of the chosen candidate, the base office for the SHIP Regional Coordinator may be located either in Duluth or Grand Rapids. Some components of coordinator’s work will be required to be on-site at that office. Since the SHIP Regional Coordinator works with local public health, contractors, community organizations and coalitions in each of the 7-counties of NE Minnesota, travel is a regular component of this position.
